Indy Filmmaker Alton Glass to Speak at MediaProCamp '14

Prolific Independent Filmmaker Alton Glass will be sharing the methods he used to create five feature films—from concept to script and through to distribution—at MCA-i's MediaProCamp '14. With a background in music videos and experience in Television, Alton has a lot of information to share with his fellow professionals. "I'm really looking forward to MediaProCamp," he said. Alton Glass, CEO of Glassrock Entertainment is a successful writer-producer-director in a number of genres from Feature films to television. He is generous with his time to help others in the industry including students, as seen in the photo on the left at Santa An College. As a respected filmmaker Alton brought to life the indy comedy, "The Candy Shop," and wrote the prison drama "The Mannsfield 12." His last project, a thriller, "The Confidant," featured Billy Zane and Richard Roundtree in the cast. His TV series pilot, "The Crew-Los Angeles" was sold to Viacom. Glass was also producer and director for a music show for NBC Nonstop, “Real Music Live." His latest project is a feature-length drama entitled "CRU" about four high school friends that experience a tragic car accident and reconnect 20 years later to mend their lives back together. The film features Keith Robinson, Richard T. Jones, Allison Eastwood and Harry J. Lennix to name a few.

Alton Glass, has had an extensive career directing/producing "docu-style" promo's and behind-the-scenes for such artist as Enrique Iglesias, Tony Hawk, Nelly, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Rowland and more. Utilizing his eye for detail and storytelling, he eventually transitioned this skill into directing and producing narrative feature films and unscripted television. Raised in Detroit, MI, his tenacity and hustle has garnered him Awards like Best Screenplay at the HBO American Black Film Festival and landed projects with major television networks likes Warner Bro's, MTV, BET, Showtime and more. Recently, Glass has expanded his endeavors with Glassrock Studios—a 3,000 sq ft creative hub for content creation for Film/TV and photography. Glassrock now also offers full production services with a goal to always create results-driven entertainment.  Currently, Alton maintains several projects in various stages of production.
