MCA-I Holding Annual Media Festival at NAB

Among the many industry events at this year's NAB convention in Las Vegas is the MCA-I Leadership Conference and the MCA-I Media Festival, known to many as the Golden reel Awards. In and around the convention, MCA-i chapter leaders and members from all over the country will be gathering for a MediaProCamp as well as meeting to determine the direction of the 40-plus year old organization. Of Course, the judging for the Golden reel Awards has been completed but winners will be announced at a special red-carpet presentation screening on Tuesday evening at Harrah's. If you're going to be at NAB don't miss the fun!

And Speaking of Volunteers…

LA/OC Chapter Calls For Volunteers for Officers and Board of Directors for 2013-14.

We hold the election for new officers and board members every June. It's very rewarding to serve your fellow members as well as the extended media community… and with the wonderful people involved, the little work we do seems like fun! Want to give back? Step up and volunteer! Email our chapter President, Brian Page This email address is being protected from spambots. Over the decades, Gordan made many friends in the industry and was an active member in ITVA, the original name MCA-i. His son, Tom, said that Gordon proudly displayed his ITVA plaque of recognition in his home office.

Well, at Newport Theater Arts Center in Newport Beach that’s exactly what you get with a play called “God’s Favorite” by Neil Simon.
