President's Message May 2016

The last two years as chapter president has been very rewarding. As I wind down my tenure and we prepare for elections of new officers and Board of Directors for the LA/OC Chapter, I want to thank all our members and the board for making this such a great organization. We've had some great recent meetings on HD Workflow with KeyCode Media; Secrets of Audio Post with Tim Keenan & Rick Sherman; and next week Marcelo Lewin, the DigiMediaDude, is going to give us a demonstration of the amazing DJI Osmo 4K camera with integrated Gimbal.  Our annual Pro Camp is in the process of planning for June and our annual BBQ is scheduled for July.

President's Message

I get by with a little (ok maybe a lot of) help from my friends. Since July 1st, the start of my term as chapter president, I have been guided by the fact that the vast majority of our members are independent contractors. With information and networking available on the Internet, in order to remain relevant and of value to our fellow members, our organization needs to provide networking and educational opportunities that help us increase our income.
