Don't miss this event—and bring your friends! RSVP NOW Click Here
The producer and cinematographer of "Island of the Great White Sharks," Richard Theiss shares lessons learned from a career of wildlife storytelling and working for the likes of National Geographic Channel, Discovery, History Channel, and more. Besides being an intrepid producer and a member of the prestigious Explorers Club, Theiss is a staunch conservationist whose slogan is "Making the Message Matter."
From producing to consulting to underwater cinematography, Theiss is a highly respected expert in this unique field of Media, has set high standards through his work and is known for helping others in the industry.
RICHARD THEISS WILL BE HONORED WITH THE MCA-I LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AT THIS EVENT. PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE CELEBRATION. RSVP NOW Click Here
Thankfully, interviews are a lot more common than Great White Sharks! But getting a good interview can be just as elusive if you don't know what you're doing! Our second presentation at this Month's MCA-i Meeting will be from two top-notch producer-directors with literally thousands of interviews between them. They will reveal their secrets to getting a good interview out of a subject. Equally important, they'll share advice and tips for being an interviewee! Tom Smith of Thomas Smith Productions and John Coleman of Twin Oaks Communications have built reputations on getting great interviews which contribute to their award-winning productions. Since the interview is one of the most basic forms of media we all work with you can't afford to miss their valuable tips and tricks!
Finally, everyone in any business should have an 'Elevator Pitch' ready to go at any moment. In our September meeting we'll explain what it is, what makes the most effective elevator speech and how to adapt it for video!
