Two MCAI Events in One Week: A Double Hit!

On February 19 and 20 MCAI sponsored back to back events, both a big hit with their respective crowds!

Co-Sponsoring with the Media Alliance of Orange County, MCAI presented an evening with Amy Lemish, the Exec. Dir. of the CA Film Commission on Tuesday. The next night, the 20th, MCAI Hosted a JVC presentation of new HD cameras and monitors at the Digital Media Center.

Lemish was preceded by Orange County Film Commissioner, Janice Arrington  at the swank Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. Arrington reported on major TV and film productions shooting in OC and Lemish outlined the CA State incentives and explained how they are helping to limit runaway production.

MC Anne Ganguzza, president of the Media Alliance and a member of the Board of MCAI, also introduced special guests including the producers of "Real Housewives of Orange County," "The Glass House" producer Scott Owens and Huntington Beach Film Commissioner, Briton Saxton. At the Digital Media Center in Santa Ana, the main studio was SRO. JVC's Alicia Reed, along with JVC Video Engineer Doug Mullin, presented four of their newest and most portable HD Cameras along with some great HD monitors--large and small. Many great new camera features got a lot of attention, such as the ability to capture on two cards simultaneously in different formats! There was a lively Q&A session and plenty of time was allowed for attendees to pickup and try the cameras.
