VIDEO 2.0: LIVE Distribution—Cheap & Easy

OUR NEXT MEETING: Our quickly evolving media culture has entered the Broadband Phase and video is ubiquitous. Now independent producers can offer their clients LIVE distribution that previously was only available (and affordable) to large networks and TV stations.

Whatever the message—whether it’s news, sports, corporate communications or entertainment—getting your production out to the world is faster and cheaper than ever before.

This month we’ve got two top professional companies—both based in OC—to demonstrate different technologies and answer your questions about how you can use, and make money with these tools in your creative media arsenal.

Bernard Samra, CEO of (949.500.5932) based at our host location, the Visual Media Center in Irvine, will demonstrate how you can distribute live video just as he does for NBC’s Today show, CBS Evening News, Fox News and others. You’ll get to inspect his studio with fiberoptic lines for live interviews from OC.

 TodoCast based in San Juan Capistrano, is the innovator of the world's first affordable, portable, live satellite-to-web video streaming system. Barbara Coleman and her colleagues will demonstrate their system, which is in use nation wide. It’s mounted on a small truck, so you’ll be able to see it right outside the studio—and see the results streaming to you within mili-seconds.
