Whether you're a director, actor, producer, writer, editor or other professional you'll get an earful as our professional panel of performers dishes about those auteurs! This promises to be a both an educational and entertaining examination of the relationship between director and actor. As always non-members are $10 and student, $5 at the door. Our Expert Panel includes voice talent, actors from film and prime time TV.....
You saw actor, Nathan Baesel, on NBC's "Invasion" last Fall. He's bringing a prime-time perspective from appearances on "Cold Case" and "The District" to the panel-including what it's like to have your character killed off! He'll also regale us with his experience in the title role on the soon-to-be-released horror/slasher film, "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon"
You know Michael Villani from his TV work as a popular commercial spokesperson but he's also got great war stories from his work in over a dozen feature films including "Girl Next Door," "Bruce Almighty," "Wag The Dog," "Chaplin" and everybody's favorite "Return of the Killer Tomatoes."
Actor and Voice Talent, Connie Terwilliger, besides acting on stage, keeps busy with commercials as spokesperson and narrator for national clients such as Wal-Mart, Babies R Us, Bristol-Myers, Homestead Financial Mortgage and more. But she'll also share what it's like to do ADR as the voice of the Cyrolian Ambassador in the in the Sci-fi/Adventure/Comedy, "Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time." Connie is also the current International President of MCA-i.
Actor John Patrick Walsh comes with experience on both TV, such as USA Network's hit series "Monk," and independent films such as "Dinner Rush" (director Bob Giraldi, star Danny Aiello) and "The Substance of Fire" (director Daniel J. Sullivan, stars Tony Goldwyn and Timothy Hutton.)
Bill Brown (aka The Technical Narrator) will handle MC duties and taking questions from the audience ---but no jeers from directors allowed.
Wednesday January 18 6:30 PM This meeting will be held in the back room of Marie Callendar's in Irvine on Culver in the Culver Shopping Center on the corner of Irvine Center Drive. Be prepared to pay for your own drinks but on the bright side the hot hors d'oeuvres should be a cut above Subway....
