President's Farewell

Well, where has time gone? It is hard to believe that my two years as President of our Los Angeles/Orange County chapter have gone so quickly! I'm feeling just a little sentimental and at a loss for words as I write this article.

If anyone had ever told me when I first moved to California and joined our MCAI chapter that I would eventually become President, I would not have believed them. I want to say though, that these past two years have been a growing experience for me and very rewarding. I want to thank all of you who have supported me in this leadership position, and I am very much in awe of our board members who are so dedicated and hard-working. We have a great group of people in our chapter, and I am extremely proud of this group.

Our new president Bill Ennis, after spending the last year as President-Elect, knows what a dedicated membership we have and is ready to hit the ground running with his own ideas. I know he's going to be an awesome leader! And he's got a great mix of new faces and old hands on his newly-elected board of directors.

When anyone takes office, it's a little overwhelming, but for those of you who are accepting new leadership positions, I want to be as supportive of you as our chapter members have been for me. That's what team work and working together is all about. Remember, you are among friends. It's been an exciting time for me, and now it is time for new beginnings. Thanks to all of you for your spirit and your friendship! Let's keep up that spirit as we continue working together!

Thank you all. I'll see you at the next meeting!
