While everyone who attended MCAI's MediaProCamp felt like they won the lottery (what with a free lunch, great professional collaboration and networking with top media pros) there were three individuals who walked away big winners...
The event featured a lunchtime drawing of a 50-50 cash pot. Voice-over artist Julie Nagode was shocked to see her ticket drawn. It was worth $65!
Kelly Herrin donated a free one-day use of his All-In-One camera truck as a doorprize. The state-of-the-art mobile shooting platform rents out at $1,000 a day on location. It allows the camera to travel in just about any position while traveling on the street. Post Production Supervisor Dina Calvarese won and was gratified to learn that Kelly had no problem with her selling her day's free rental to someone who works on location! That camera truck would be a tough fit into even the largest edit bay!
Journalist-anchorman-reporter Ernie Castelo reported that as the winner of the final doorprize-a CS4 Production Suite software package from Adobe-he couldn't be happier. He had been looking at buying one. Being the drawing winner at MediaProCamp just saved him $1,700 dollars! Certainly worth the price of admission!
Other sponsors whose donations made the free admission to MediaProCamp possible were:
ProMax Systems, Fast Forward Video, OC Film Commission, Corporate Video & Film, Creative Media Recording; Electric Pictures, Brian Page/Vocal Images 714.404.7591, Tina Wilson Voice Talent, Julie Nagode, VO Artist 949-589-1999, and Twin Oaks Communications.
