Don't miss this very special event for media professionals: The first-ever San Diego MediaProCamp, presented by the San Diego chapter of Media Communications Association-Intl. This informative, interactive event will be held Saturday, Feb 6th at the Art Institute of California San Diego in Mission Valley. If you were at the OC event last June, you know what a valuable experience this will be! Every MediaProCamp is different...
...because content is determined by the participants! MediaProCamp is an all day gathering of media professionals representing every discipline: acting and performing, producing and directing; creative and technical ...and representing every medium: Film, TV, Radio; Internet, games, business video, audio and more.
MediaProCamp consists of open roundtable discussions on any subject the participants choose - with multiple breakout sessions every half hour or so. This format, lifted from the IT industry (Silicon Valley) is intensely productive and provides for fabulous networking. It's an exciting cross-pollination of useful ideas, techniques and information. Interactivity among all of the participants guarantees a powerful experience for everyone. Bring your personal expertise (everybody contributes) and plenty of questions. Laptops are useful - but optional. You can create a topic for discussion and form a group... or sit in on any group/any topic you choose.
Philip Hodgetts is keynote speaker and guest host. Philip is the creator of Digital Production Buzz, was co-host and managing editor of DV Guys, and author of The New Now and HD Survival Handbook 2009-2010, Creative COW contributing editor, and creator of Intelligent Assistance.
This ground-breaking event is being presented by the San Diego Chapter of the MCA-I. The Media Communications Association-International (MCAI) is a non-profit 501c 3 charity with chapters in 27 US cities and three countries.
