Tim & Linda Keenan Get Lifetime Award

MCAI member and former MCAI Board Member Tim Keenan and his wife Linda were recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Cypress Chamber of Commerce at their annual Business awards Dinner. Tim & Linda, long time Cypress residents, own Creative Media Recording, an audio production company in Cypress.

“Having been involved in the “media” community for so many years has allowed us to meet a wide variety of people, with many interests similar to ours," said Tim. "This business is all about referrals and we readily refer people who need help in other areas.”

Both Tim and Linda have been involved in the Cypress community for the last few decades. Tim Keenan served on the Cypress City council for 8 years (including two terms as mayor) as well as the OCTA Board of Directors among many council related appointments. He is now on the board of the Cypress Chamber of Commerce as Immediate Past-Chair. In addition, Tim currently serves on the board of the Media Alliance of Orange County.

Linda Keenan, who manages Creative Media with her husband, was a Cypress Traffic Commissioner for 8 years and also served on the La Palma Intercommunity Hospital Board of Trustees. She is a long time member of the Woman’s Club of Cypress, active in helping Veterans. She also devotes her time to the board of Cypress Children’s Advocacy, which helps at-risk children in Cypress.

“We are here to help people with their story and it becomes a win-win situation for us because we want to give back to our community,” relates Tim.

Among their pro bono work at Creative Media and volunteer time past and present have been working with the Red Cross of Orange County, Vince Ferragamo Foundation for Special Olympics, Orange County Marathon, Wise Senior Services, Herbie the Talking Car (for the Long Beach Police Department), Orange County Women in Business, the Annual DARE Auction, Cypress 5k-10k Run and the Cypress Chamber of Commerce among others.

“We have succeeded over the years because of the many people who have helped us along the way,” offered Tim. “Being able to help others always gives us a great feeling.”

That same evening the Cypress Chamber also honored a Cypress Man & Woman of the Year and Business of the Year.
