Producer-Director-Writer, John Coleman, www.twinoaks.tv   is in pre-production for the Monterey Historic Races-his twelfth consecutive year airing on SPEED Channel. He'll cut three shows including a one hour documentary from the 15 camera line cut and hand held units roaming the Monterey peninsula.  Among the 75 person crew, Coleman has included Erik Villesvik (714.579.0082) for the second year as Associate Director. Editor, Grace McKay, www.electricpictures.la    will be handling some of the post-production duties.
Speaking of Electric Pictures, Grace and DaVinci colorist, Emmett Kesel, have just finished transferring from 35 mm to DVD the first 85 of 500 classic feature films for website www.vintagefilmbuff.com  The job included many specialty titles - in this case 22 railroad programs. Besides transfers they also did the DVD Duplication, package design and fulfillment. Electric Pictures is also in the middle of a large migration project transferring over 200  1" inch masters to DV for archive and repurposing to digital markets.
 
Narrator-Presenter, Derek Partridge (702.869.2979 )is a recipient of 2007 Voicey Lifetime Achievement Award, selected from 5 finalists by a panel of judges, including Burbank studio owner, Marc Graue. The distinguished Derek has completed interviews for TV and CD with world-renowned heart surgeon Dwight Lundell, MD. It's entitled "Dead Patients Don't Lie" about HeartShot vitamin pack, Lundell's cure for heart disease. The Partridge voice is also heard in narration for Toronto Theatre and a new TV series, Wine and Dine.
 
The Digital Media Dude himself, Marcelo Lewin, www.thedigitalmediadude.com   just finished shooting, editing and producing 15 videos for Shea Homes trade partners which will be used instead of the large annual Trade Partner  meetings --over $20,000 saving for the client!  The Dude also launched a Web 2.0 enabled SheaHomes.com using Google Maps to mush up data from the database. The Dude has left the building!
 
 
Member Bill A Jones has been busy with On-Camera, Voice Over, Emcee, Trade Show and, yes, Singing gigs!  Is there anything he can't do? Bill just recently co-starred alongside the Geico Cavemen in what could be a new trend in advertising, the Interactive Website.  In capsule, the website, http://www.cavemanscrib.com   will feature the Cavemen having a party. Bill is the uninvited guest who sticks out like a very funny sore thumb.   Recent VO by Bill include Clos Du Val winery, UCB Bank  and Air Korea.  BJ Emceed the Lumen Awards a couple of weeks ago at the historic LA Athletic Club, and as a Trade Show Presenter, watch for Bill at Linux World in San Francisco the week of August 6th for Mellanox.

Post production audio recordoligist and owner of Creative Media Recording, Tim Keenan, www.creativemediarecording.com   is holding another of his famous Professional Voice-Over Workshops starting August 29th. Tim and the golden voiced Sylvia Aimerito do these only sporadically, so actors and VO pros sign up now!  http://creativemediarecording.com/news/workshop.asp   CMR recently recorded, edited and mixed over 40 radio spots with former NFL great and veteran sports announcer, Pat Summerall. The spots, for CrystaLens, were individualized for leading eye surgery centers around the US.  Another touchdown for Tim and CHR!
 
Gary Stone of Gold Standard Productions www.goldstandardproductions.com   just completed an online training video presentation for Linksys Corp., using their new ProPrompter teleprompting gear. Also recently completed was a trade show loop for Dage Precision Industries which was shot using Gold Standard's Jimmy Jib. Currently in the works is a promotional video/DVD for the Masters of Harmony, a men's chorus, winner of 6 consecutive international competitions.
 
The ever-jovial, Larry Stimson www.larrystimson.com   continues his on-air duties as DJ at KSBR 88.5 FM while working as IT go-to guy. He converted the entire library of Video Professor (as seen on TV) tutorials from CD-Rom to online media and created online video players for Innovate Media. Oh, did we mention he does Voice-Overs?
 
Another of our members who has been busy doing Voice Overs is singer-voice-performer, and new Chapter president,  Tina Wilson, www.tinawilsontalent.com  She's been working on several projects for Laguna Woods TV and just finished a commercial for Jolandas restaurant as well as voice mail messages for Audio Drops. You'll also hear Tina on numerous projects for Images in Motion. Did I say busy? Our girl is also featured as the announcer for new cable TV series, "Conversations with Wolfgang."
 
Writer, producer, director (and Lifetime MCA-I member), Bill Ennis, www.MediaMagic.TV   is in post production on a series of PSA's on DUI for the Orange County District Attorney's office. The spots were shot on location at the Orange County Sheriffs Dept. Training Village in Anaheim, which features a Hollywood style backlot complete with homes, a bank, a 711 and, of course, a bar! The spots will be voiced in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. Ennis is also producing an employee orientation DVD for PBC Construction's 650 employees. The DVD will be done in both English and Spanish.
 
Our Uni-named voiceover talent, Travis, www.VOTalent.com   recently narrated the HBO project "Beyond Blades of Glory", on the making of the Will Ferrell comedy hit. He's also provided narration for: D1 Grand Prix Racing Program DVDs; Web Based Training programs for Acura, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Honda; an Environmental Awards program for the Long Beach and San Pedro Harbors; a Promotional piece for the Hilton Anatole Hotel, Dallas; an instructional video for Baxter Pharmaceuticals, and several TV commercials.
 
Beverly C. Turner, Executive Producer of California fxMedia, Inc. www.cal-fxmedia.com   is currently creating a 4 minute marketing video entirely of "short sound bytes" from students and parents in a special program that assists kids in  a number of ways, including academic tutoring, personal organization, behavior modification as well as finding & getting into the college of their dreams. It's for a new start-up company on OC.
 
In July, producer-performer, Janeane Bernstein www.rockwrenstudios.com   began a weekly radio segment on ChickChat radio, a nationally syndicated XM satellite show - Mondays 3pm EST. She features a Mom musical performer each Monday from Mamapalooza www.mamapalooza.com  Janeane also kicked off the summer as HOST/DJ of her own radio show, Momz Rock the House, at KUCI 88.9 in Irvine on Friday's 6am-8am PST. OC Chapter Board member, Patricia Shanks,  www.studioshanks.biz   feels like her work is taking her on a road trip through life. She is the voice of calm and reason for the Relationship911.com and Breakup911.com TV spots. She helps everyone learn a thing or two as the voice of the 'Net movie for the Rapid Learning Center and her voice has helped sell new and used Toyotas in Pennsylvania for more than a year. We shouldn't forget the vacations. Patricia has voiced a video for the main gate at the Park Anaheim Resort across from Disneyland. Then, just when life is going well, it's "A Scene of a Murder". Patricia starred as the near-murder victim and world-wearied housewife in this short film. What's left? Menopause. Patricia is the radio voice promoting the Suzanne Somers Women's Health and Hormones Seminars going on nationwide. To cap her recent activities, Patricia has written a ten-minute play titled Road Trip. She has just submitted the play to the Chance Theater in Anaheim and the Variations on a Theme: The Best contest. What could follow the best in life?
