3 Non-Profits Look To Hire Media Professionals.

The January 2012 meeting of the LA/OC Chapter, Sponsored by MCAI’s Media Center for Nonprofits, was entitled, "Working Together: Nonprofits Budgeting for Professional Media Services."  It brought media professionals together with three philanthropic organizations for mutual benefit. The non-profit leaders on the panel shared ideas with each other and the audience and gained some insights on hiring pros to help them further their respective missions.

Our Panel of Nonprofits included the founder of the HOOPS Foundation, a new sports media organization teaching kids media production focusing on basketball and sports. Currently HOOPS is looking for media pros to volunteer to help get the program up and running as well as create a budget for future growth. They hope to have funds to expand and pay media professionals a reasonable teaching stipend within a year. To help get this worthy cause off the ground, contact Exec Director, Bryan C.
