workshop will answer these - and other - questions you have about selling your services. Selling your creative services can be as simple as knowing where the work is and asking the right questions at the right time. This workshop will show you how to research your
target markets and identify prospective clients. Learn how to approach these people and get appointments. You will also find out how to present your work and plan effective follow up and never be rejected. This is for anyone at any level that needs to know how to be persistent (and not a pest) to get the work you want.
Maria Piscopo (www.mpiscopo.com) started her business as a creative services consultant and art/photo agent for Stan Sholik Studio in 1978. Turner Communications produced her series of four videos on topics from her seminars and workshops and Maria has been a speaker at industry conferences since 1985. She teaches classes at Orange Coast CollegeandLaguna Collegeof Art & Design and has been a professional speaker with Dynamic Graphics Training since 1990. She writes magazine articles and columns for industry publications and her fifth book,Graphic Designer's and Illustrator's Guide to Marketing and Self-Promotionwas just published by Allworth Press. Maria is a member of OC Ad Club, Society of Photographers and Artist's Reps, past-president of the OC chapter of Women in Management and currently an active and enthusiastic volunteer for Costa-Mesa based Project Cuddle.
